About

I’m a Philosophy PhD and lecturer at the University of California, Santa Barbara. My research focuses on the intersection of metaphysics and metaphilosophy. Specifically, I investigate how appealing to the metaphysics of natural properties and fundamentality can help to resolve, dissolve, or at least clarify long-standing philosophical disputes. I have three publications in which I apply considerations of naturalness to disputes in ethics and ontology. I’ve taught courses in introductory philosophy, ethics, critical thinking, formal logic, moral psychology, metaethics, metaontology, and metaphilosophy. Also, I run a philosophy and politics channel on TikTok (@armchairculturewarrior).
